Extraction of wisdom tooth.

There follows a copy of the comments I have sent to the Oral Surgery Dept. at RD&E, Wonford:-

"I wish to place on record my thanks to both Doctors for the exemplary way in which my case was tackled. I was amazed by the effectiveness of both the sedation and the pain control, intravenously administered: Also by the absence of any bruising and minimal jaw stiffness. I took paracetamol for only 24 hrs. afterwards.

It was a memorable experience, for the best of reasons."

The three nurses involved were cheerful, reassuring, most helpful and caring. It was due to them, in large part, that I actually enjoyed the experience!

What could be improved

I had been expected to arrive at 12.30 pm, despite having been granted permission to attend later, owing to a funeral in London.

That hiccough on my arrival at 3.00 pm should have been avoided. However, I was made very welcome and the standard procedure was implemented very quickly and smoothly.

Anything else?

I strongly recommend Tiverton and District Hospital. The staff and facilities are second to none.
