What I liked

The receptionists and nurses were very efficient and pleasant.

What could be improved

I did not have the procedure because although I arrived as requested at 7.15am and was admitted to the day surgery unit immediately. The consultant did not come to see me at all. I had not had anything to eat or drink from the night before as instructed but I was left alone for four hours until a theatre nurse came to apologise for the delay. There did not seem to have been any reason for this other than the doctor changing his patient list around. After five hours and with no definite hope of having procedure (which I understand takes approximately 15minutes) I left the hospital.

Anything else?

I have not received any further communication from the doctor and do not now have an appointment anywhere so that this test can be carried out. This is my first experience of a private hospital and will be my last. At NHS hospitals such as Leighton I have encountered nothing but curtesy and efficiency.
