I cannot praise this service enough. After a routine mammogram ( over 50 breast screening programme ) something showed up which required further investigation. I was recalled and had an appointment within 4 weeks of the initial mammogram at the Breast Screening Clinic in Nelson Mandela Sq Glasgow. On arrival I was treated by a very calm team of radiographers, doctors and nurses. All staff informed me on exactly was happening at all times and were very kind and understanding. They also understood the stress of the situation. I was shown the mammogram and the next steps and reasons for these steps were explained. I also had two ultrasounds and a physical examination.

The doctors decided on a biopsy as they were unsure exactly what was there ... a small round white ball. The whole biopsy was a strange experience but I was reassured throughout the process. Within a week I was informed that there was nothing to worry about. As you can imagine I was absolutely ecstatic.

Fantastic staff and a fantastic service. Thank you so much for the NHS and a dedicated team of professionals.
