"SAL and Theatre staff"

(as the patient),

Came in for knee surgery, all staff were friendly and helpful. Sister of the ward was lovely she introduced herself to me and took me to theatre. The ward appeared under pressure as it was open to inpatients due to pressures on the hospital. All staff appeared rushed off their feet, not once did I feel forgotten. I had someone continuously check on me to ensure I was ok after having a spinal anaesthetic.

All theatre staff were brilliant from the surgeon to the porter who escorted me back. I was extremely nervous, the anaesthetist and nurse were brilliant at helping me to relax and reassuring me. I was so pleased that the anaesthetist supported my choice in having a spinal. All staff in the operating theatre asked if I was ok at one point or another. The surgeon kindly explained things as he carried out the surgery, as I was observing the surgery myself on the monitor.

Recovery staff were very friendly and caring, ensuring I was comfortable and felt ok. The whole experience was very positive. Thank you to you all
