What could be improved
Both myself and my wife visited the new hospital and Teign Ward for the first time and was shocked and disappointed not to find any hand cleaning gell upon entering. Access to the new ward as a visitor was allowed by a nurse.Still no infection limiting advice given and still no gel. I had to ask for gel and was told there wasn't any but I could use a sink to wash my hands.Should I have had to ask? Surely hand hygience is of paramount importance. How long before the serious hospital bugs get a hold in the brand new hospital? Very soon I fear! With all the money spent on this new facillity, a few litres of gell wouldn't go amiss. Come on Managers!
