"Urology day case patient"

About: Southmead Hospital / Urology

(as the patient),

Thank you to all the staff in the Urology day case unit at Cotswold Ward.

I was admitted promptly via the Urology dept and came into the unit yeterday for cystoscopy and diathermy, my fourth recurrence with bladder cancer.

The whole procedure was very slick, quick and everyone was extremely caring and professional. As you can imagine, it is very reassuring to have this level of care in a situation where the outcome is uncertain etc...

Thank you to everyone involved.

It was also very, very strange to be in the ward where my son was born 33 years ago!

With my deepest respect for all of you.

Dear Al Pal - thank you for taking the time and trouble to post your thanks for the care and support you received on your recent admission to Cotswold Ward at Southmead. I was sorry to hear that your bladder cancer had returned, and I hope that the procedure you received is successful and that you make a full and complete recovery.

I am please that the Teams professional and reassuring approach was a support in this obviously anxious time. I have shared your kind comments with the teams involved so they will be aware of your thanks.

Kind regards -
