I have a job in a charity shop where I go through donations, serve people, price up the goods and help out. I have been there for 6 weeks and found this job myself. I just went into the shop when I was on leave and told them that I am on an autism ward at St Andrew's and said I was wondering if I could volunteer and they said yes. It did take me ages to get references from the staff and I had to do it all myself, but I have them now and they will come in handy if I need these in the future. I am glad because I need to be doing something to get out of here. It was my solicitor's idea that I do something like work in a charity shop. I remembered him saying this so I did. I might carry the job on when I move from hospital. I will also be doing some magazine distribution as one of the staff suggested that this might be something that I could do. I was going to do the Big Issue but I found out that you have to be homeless, so I am going to do something else, one of the staff has given me some information about other magazine distribution opportunities. I have so many different teams, there is a lot to remember, community team, MDT, RC - this is the doctor. My MDT are good. I am going out to see my nephew because it is his birthday today.
