I came here from another hospital and have been here for one year now. I was in a Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit before, where I was so unwell, hearing voices. I was on the wrong meds there. When I came here, I started to improve as they changed my meds. I still hear voices, but the meds started to work. I stopped taking them a while back and I became unwell again, but I am back on them. I still think my meds need looking at. The staff treat me well and staff and patients get on; you need to adjust to people. I haven't seen my care plans for ages. I couldn't say what these look like or what's in them, but I do have a CPA (care programme approach) review meeting soon. The outcome I want is to stop hearing voices and hallucinating. I think that St Andrew's could make an improvement at mealtimes. The hot meals are served on cold plates which makes it horrible as the food goes cold. If they warmed up the plates, it would be much better.
