"I was taken to the minor injuries ..."

What I liked

I was taken to the minor injuries department in Trowbridge where the sraff were marvellous. The efficiency and care with which they attended to my injury could not be faulted. Although I did not see a Doctor the senior nursing staff that treated me clearly knew there job, so one was not a necessity. There was no delay to me being attended to and I was given full advice before leaving the hospital on what follow up I might need and how to get it. Although the department was small it was comfortable and well staffed. My wife who took me there was also treated with kindness and consideration and was consulted throughout by the staff.

What could be improved

Although there was an Xray facilty in the hospital because it was only a minor injuries unit and not an A&E apparently it was not available should I have needed it.

Anything else?

Fortunately I did not need an ambulance which is just as well as recently when one was needed for me it took over an hour to get to me. This time I went by car and treatment was available at least an hour and a half earlier that it otherwise might have been.
