About: Spire Regency Hospital

What I liked

The hospital was clean and the rooms where a generous size . Staff where polite and carried out there duties efficiently. I was only in there for 4 days but was made to feel at home .

The morning paper was a nice touch it gave me something to read , as i forgot to take in a book .

What could be improved

I would improve the meals service for gastric bypass patients. Offer sugar free drinks instead of water it was terrible the water .And soups liquidised instead of consomme. Fruit juices and smoothies .And more drinks through out the day .

I would also offer a magazine for the patients as well as the newspapers .

I was never offered a shower whilst i was in there i think the staff should ask you if you need assistance in getting a shower or a bath .

Ambulances that are booked to take you home should give you a time then you can arrange for relatives to be at home to meet you.

I had to wait all morning and it only arrived at 2.30 in the afternoon .

The beds and chairs where very uncomfortable i had a sore bottom for days , i was glad to get home in my own bed and sit on a comfy chair .

When patients are encouraged to get out of bed at least give them a comfy chair to sit on .
