About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary

(as a parent/guardian),

My Daughter was admitted to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary last week Via ward 101, she was transferred to ward 104, then onto 302 and finally 305. She was in for a total of 6 days. I can't fault the care and attention she got in each ward, right from the consultant Dr McInley and his team, to the domestic staff and the porters, they all went way and beyond to make her stay in hospital as good as it could be. I would personally like to thank Charge nurse Debbie W and all her staff in ward 101 for making the initial assessment as easy as it could be, they treated my daughter with utmost dignity and respect, no waiting about and they were just excellent from the minute we walked through the door, keep up the excellent work! ! Ward 104 made her feel so welcome, again treating her so kindly, I would like to thank charge nurse Shona and her dedicated team for the excellent care my daughter received. Thanking Dr McKinley and his team of medical staff in 104 for their support throughout and excellent care and attention, finally to all staff in 302&305 for their continued support, nothing was too much bother for anyone. Keep up the excellent work you all do. I can't thank each and everyone of you enough. Xx

Hello Culsh 123, I'm really sorry to hear your daughter was unwell and hope she is on the mend following her admission, it must have been very worrying for you both. What a positive story, thank you so much for sharing it! I will share your feedback with Snr Charge Nurse Debbie W and her team. They will be very proud, as will all the other departments, teams and staff you mention, to hear what you and your daughter experienced while in their care. We really appreciate you taking the time to let us know, it's important to us that we hear from patients and relatives, it gives us the opportunity to acknowledge when we get it right and learn if we don’t, it’s lovely to hear we got it so right on this occasion.

Thank you Culsh 123.

Kerry
