I had my left hip pinned following a fall at the end of January this year. I arrived in A&E and within one hour I had been assessed and X Rayed awaiting the registrar who on arrival set me at ease and fully explained the procedures I was to undergo.
I can honestly say that that every member of staff who I encountered from the triage nurse and reception staff to the surgical team who treated me was with respect and kept me fully informed. The surgery was so comfortable that it was over in no time and found myself on Ward 7D for 6 days in the care of a fantastic team of nursing staff of all qualifications.
Nothing seemed too much trouble and gave their time when I needed it most. I observed nurses dealing with difficult patients who in my opinion should not have been on these wards but treated them patiently with total respect and consideration. The Occupational staff were also very reassuring and ensured I had everything to make life easier at home coupled with the Physiotherapy staff who had me walking around with crutches within a few days.
"Huntsman ward 7 amazing staff and excellent care."
