What could be improved

I am due to see a consultant about my eys. I was given a choice of three hospitals. I rang Romsey as I live in Romsey. The clerk was furious that I had contacted her about an appointment and wanted to know who had given me the phone number - I explained about my letter from my GP. "Have you phoned the other hospitals" she aked "no" I replied. I live in Romsey so want to attend Romsey Hospital. I told her that I was on holiday during two weeks in September. She grudingly offered my an appointment during - guess when - yes these two weeks when I am abroad. She then gleefully told me that as this was the only appointment availabe I must contact the other hospital and terminated the call. I am now booked in at SGH!!
