"A minimum £2 fee for parking is ..."

About: Haywood Hospital

What could be improved

A minimum £2 fee for parking is outrageous. The parking metre wasn't working, so I had to walk to a car park on the side of the building to find

an operational one. Unbelievable! "Minimum waiting time" statistics are clearly being manipulated by nursing staff at the walk-in centre,

presumably to cast the place in a good light with Stoke PCT. For example, patients were this morning being told there was an approx 2 hours to be

seen, but they were only seeing a triage nurse after that time, and then had another 1-2 hour wait. But the nurse got to tick that little box to say

the patient had been seen within 2 hours, so presumably the statistics look good. When the walk-in centre is less busy (I was there a month ago

also), they don't use a triage nurse at all. Clearly her function is to make the statistics look nicer during peak periods. After walking out in

disgust after only seeing the triage nurse this morning, and referring myself to the Doctor's Co-Operative in Basford, the GP I saw told me they (at

the Haywood) were WRONG to prescribe oral anti-biotics for the type of ear infection I had last month, and that is why it had recurred. Never again
