What I liked
I have nothing but praise for the good old NHS & in particular the RUH Bath.
My daughter had a tooth out in day surgery today & the personnel could not have been more kind, caring or proficient. They did take 2 hours finding her notes which was a bit annoying since I was not allowed to go & get them but had to await a porter (!?) but in general the service was excellent.
What could be improved
Waiting around for notes to be retrieved when we have had the appointment for 3 months was a bit annoying as she then went down the list from second to about 4th.I couldn't see why I or a nurse couldn't pop along the corridor & bring them to the day surdery ward.
The other slight bugbear is Parking charges.I paid £9 to park-which I think is OTT & the receptionist (at day surgery) was very unhelpful when I asked if there was a cheaper rate or a letter to put in the windscreen-this must crop up a lot so I would like a solution as I know the gov't has looked into unfair charges at hospitals. Even so, many thanks!
