What I liked

I've had regular physiotherapy sessions at the Whitworth for over a year and it's one of the few hospital visits I have to make that I don't dread. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, the waiting area is small but comfortable, and I feel as if my physio is genuinely concerned with my well-being, a rarity in the production-line appointment experiences I've had in the past, where GPs and specialists have been in a hurry to write me a prescription and send me on my way. This isn't the first experience I've had with the hospital - my gran spent her last days there, my dad was seen there when he had a fit and broke his ankle, I took my mum there when she sliced her thumb open on a piece of glass, and I've been treated for acute nosebleeds there in the past. It's an incredibly valuable asset to the area, and I can't praise it enough.

What could be improved

I can't think of any criticism to direct towards the hospital, but it would be nice if the NHS would stop seeing Whitworth as an inconvenient little satellite clinic that they can degrade or remove at their whim. They've already tried to take away the maternity services there and now they've stopped the breast-screening service there, forcing everyone to make the 20 mile round trip to Chesterfield instead.
