"Excellent service"

About: Sandwell General Hospital / Accident and emergency

After calling 111 with regard to my 81 year old mother having had a possible stroke, they passed it to the paramedic team. They arrived within five minutes. After an assessment it was thought it may be Bells Palsey but wanted to take her in to do further assessments and checks to be sure as the symptoms are similar.

My mother was taken to a private cubicle and was assessed by two consultants, two trainee students and three doctors and had a CT scan within an hour. The care that she received was faultless and it gave me renewed faith in the NHS. Well done to the A&E team.

Thank you for your feedback about your mother’s treatment at our Trust. We aim to offer a high standard of care and I am glad that this was the case for your mother. I will pass on your comments to the team involved. Kind regards, Toby Lewis, chief executive.
