"I was booked in as a day case ..."

About: Wimborne Community Hospital

What I liked

I was booked in as a day case for some routine minor surgery. The communication both from my GP and the staff at the hospital was excellent. The staff - receptionists, nurses, surgeons, anaesthetist - were all incredibly friendly and patient, and quickly put me at my ease. Whilst my stay was short - less than a day - there was never the feeling that they were trying to "process" me and discharge me as soon as possible. Granted this is a small community hospital, so doesn't have the same number of patients as a larger unit, yet everyone seemed to have all the time in the world to make sure I was comfortable and not worried about anything - even though I know they were busy.

What could be improved

Nothing. Honestly, I've tried to be objective, but I genuinely cannot find fault with anything. We often hear so many bad things about the NHS in the news, and how everything is overstretched and underfunded. From my experience this could not be further from the truth.
