"Physio is useless"

About: Stepping Hill Hospital

I had to pick 'dont know' from the list of department options, becuase physiotherapy isnt on it.

Been diagnosed with fibromyalgia.

Nothing hurts unless I have a flare up.

I exercise and stretch regularly, their exercises were pathetic and did no good at all.

I did explain this but the physiotherapist did not listen.

Why are they obsessed with pain?

I naively thought physio was stretching and exercises to make me more supple, rather than make me hurt.

I pulled a hamstring in my back thigh during the initial session.

Didnt realise until I got home, hurt for a week.

There were no stretching exercises given prior to these exercises.

Very stupid.

I never launch straight into exercise at home without stretches first.

Useless NHS.

I am sorry that your experience at the Physiotherapy department has not been positive. I have passed your comments to the management team. If you would like the Trust to undertake an investigation into your concerns, I would be grateful if you would contact a member of the Patient and Customer Services Team on 0161 419 5678 to provide further details so that we can look into this further for you.

Kind regards
