"My mum was admitted on 21 June ..."

What I liked

My mum was admitted on 21 June 2007 to Spencer Ward. The nursing staff and support staff are excellent, my mum is well looked after. There are organised events such as sing-songs and bingo, and this week we are invited to join the patients in a cream tea. It is lovely for the patients to have something to look forward to, despite their disabilites.

What could be improved

A hearing loop around the tv area would help those with hearing problems. Only costs about £200 per area, I'd be glad to pay for one on the Spencer Ward.

Seems daft that old people can't hear the t.v. on the Spencer Ward - which is all old people! My mother has been really disadvantaged during her stay as her only interest is the t.v. and she is as deaf as a post.
