"WARD 9a"

After being rushed in to GRH after complications developed from a major op at a different specialist hospital, I was admitted to ward 9a.

The Doctor I saw daily accompanied by a consultant was hugely professional, extremely kind, polite, caring and concerned about me as an individual rather than just another patient.

Their calm manner and upbeat sense of humour was especially valuable to me and I looked forward to their 'visits' each day.

The Doctor regularly checked on me during the day to update me of any results, any treatment and any procedures which were going to be done.

They didn't rush through things and made sure I understood, was very attentive when I had any questions to ask and gave full & honest replies.

I was very fortunate and grateful to have met this doctor & been under their care.
