"Warning ! to all pregnant woman ."

About: Scarborough General Hospital / Maternity

I am desperately in need of help and legal advice . I have had an awful time with my Dr surgery regarding getting the correct treatment while pregnant. My Dr promised month after month to resolve it with continues antibiotics , but never prescribed them.

I now only have 2 weeks left of my pregnancy . I have had months of what should be a beautiful time for me and my family, all dominated by untreated illness and suddenly a Misplaced Social Services referral .

I had been threatened with social services two weeks ago during a call from the midwife. She called to tell me she'd had some chat with her manager regarding missed appointment . My midwife said it was nothing to worry about as she understood why I missed them and that she was just wanting me to know that it had been mentioned . I didn't until that point have any warning or information given regarding this Social service involvement with pregnancy appointments . It was a complete shock! It was a threat ! It's was a threat that came after some illness that my midwifes and Dr knew about . The appointments Which were always mad up for, showed no reason for concern other than the untreated infection I was trying to get my Dr to resolve. That never was resolved until I hit 8 months pregnant. They even lost my samples when I'd taken them in personally . Even when I missed an appointment , I'd see the Dr or a midwife that following week.

I was then assured by the manager of the midwife team that a referral was NOT going ahead . This was a lie!

I have since been treated " finally " for the infection that caused my illness and missed appointment and I have been referred to social services regardless to all factors.

My midwives have accused me of missing at least 3 appointments that never even existed . I questioned these non existent appointments and was apologised to . I have now been told id missed 8 altogether ! I've never seen that many appointment letters and as I've said , I've attended all appointments or had home visits.

I have now been told that they didn't agree to home visits , yet they visited anyway . Social services have lied about this also yet it states in the anti natal guidance info that home visits are options a pregnant mother can use.

I was visited by my midwife and assured that her visiting me was a good way to keep my anti natal care in place . I feel that I was lead falsely to believe that this visitation was normal and fine. I had read that it was fine also.

I now have been told that these visits and examinations were not on the books so to speak.

Although I do have my green notes to prove them . So now I have anxiety and back pain from the stress of social services coming to my house twice and they now want further meetings regarding my appointments and the care of my unborn baby And any further health care after my pregnancy, which is condescending and let alone unjustified as I am more than competent but feel isolated and anxious . Warning to all woman !
