At Rotherham District General Hospital I went into B10 a delivery suite on the maternity ward. I was treated straight away as I was 10cm dilated. Everyone was really professional and calm, they made up for the worry of the first time that I gave birth there, there made my birth, text book, very pleased.
The things that could have been better are the fact that the delivery suite was too cold and the staff couldn't alter the heating at all. I was worried that my new born child would be too cold. The parking was also difficult, I could barely walk and we were miles away from the delivery suite.
I rang the delivery suite and told them I had to come in and that I wanted the epidural because I couldn't stand the pain anymore. I was then told that the anesthetist was in theatre, so perhaps there should be more anesthetists.
I would like to thank the midwife that looked after me, only know of her as M Dale.
