"I left feeling very satisfied"

About: East Surrey Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as the patient),

I sustained a shoulder and neck injury when my dog, a 30 Kg Labrador, decided to chase a fox. The yank on my arm was very abrupt as I was using an expanding lead at the time.

My main worry was a cracked bone, as the pain at the base of my neck was acute. I visited ESH, where the reception staff were friendly and helpful. I waited about an hour, and was seen by a member of staff who immediately made me feel very confident I was in good hands. She examined the affected area, and reassured me that the injury was not skeletal, and explained what the pain was caused by. I was given a course of anti inflammatory tablets, and I left feeling very satisfied with the treatment I had received.
