About: University Hospital Hairmyres / Radiology

(as the patient),

I attended my GP with a 3 week history of breast pain & within 10 days I had a breast clinic appointment at Hairmyers Hospital. I was seen by Dr Leach sent for a mammogram & back to Dr Leach for the results all within 2 1/2 hours. I have a family history of breast cancer therefore I was extremely nervous but the staff within the radiology department were fantastic. I'm one of the lucky ones who got the all clear. Dr Leach was wonderful she gave me excellent advice & coping strategies for breast pain & plenty of reassurance. Well done NHS Lanarkshire x
