Being terrified of hospitals, I had to attend East Surry hospital Ophthalmic Department for treatment. I arrived in a state of fear and panic and was met by GuGu a nurse who was full of friendliness and able to help calm me down. When my turn for treatment came, I was taken into another room and my treatment started. The Anaesthetist was very friendly and introduced himself which helped to calm me down and once he had put drops in my eye, I went into the operation theatre. It was wonderful, I never felt a thing, the doctor performing the operation kept me informed as to what she was doing and I was quite relaxed throughout the who process To top it all, on completion of the treatment, I had a nice cup of coffee and some biscuits. I would like to express my sincere thanks to all those working in the Ophthalmic department at East Surrey for all they have done for me a first class department which gives it's patients a warm welcome and looks after them to a very high degree. Well done to you all.
