"Terrifying visit to the Endoscopy Suite"

About: Chorley & South Ribble Hospital

I had the misfortune to attend Chorley Hospital on Friday 20 th January for an endoscopy. Not a pleasant experience and one I have had before but I left feeling as if I had been abused. It was dreadful from start to finish, from the nurse (second one to attempt this) who brutally forced a catheter into my hand to the doctor who did the procedure with no kind words or warning it was to start it was awful. I came out in shock, couldn't speak to my husband at all until later in the evening. Never ever had treatment like this from the NHS or Chorley Hospital. Never encountered nurses or doctors with so little empathy or respect, they were in the wrong job
