"CBT therapy really worked for me"

I recently completed CBT therapy to help address my anxiety. For me, this really worked. Firstly, I was really ready to address it, secondly it was a very practical approach which suits me as I am a practical gal. Also my therapist was so down to earth and approachable that I felt I had that support there. The CBT therapy really puts the onus onto you which I liked. I felt like I could finally start to address anxiety that has affected my life in various forms for years (Palpitation, panic attacks, IBS+ health issues, insomnia, worrying about anything and everything) by following the steps with the support of my therapist. I have passed on what I have learnt to friends and family and has shown me that everyone struggles at different levels. And that there is nothing ‘wrong’ with me, I don’t have problems that cannot be resolved in some way. CBT therapy has given me that control over my own thoughts, feelings and behaviour as I now understand is so much more.
