"Ban flowers on medical wards"

About: Salisbury District Hospital

(as the patient),

I am a severe asthmatic and one of the greatest triggers for my condition is an allergy to cut flowers. Unless my frequent life-threatening asthma attacks require treatment on ICU I am unable to risk being admitted to Salisbury District Hospital, as despite frequent requests to them, they refuse to have a "no flowers" policy on their medical wards. I was informed by the hospital at one point that such a policy would "upset the other patients".

I feel very disappointed that my hospital takes such a stand on the subject when I know of other hospitals which have no problem with banning flowers on their wards. After all, to me personally, this hospital decision could be fatal.
