"X ray / Ultrasound at Heartlands"

Am so impressed by the service I have received today at Heartlands X Ray Dept.Was half an hour early ( had left plenty of time for parking which was pretty dire) ,greeted but a lovely smiley receptionist,called for my ultra sound and fine needle biopsy more or less straight away, escorted by very friendly nurse and met by a Consultant and registrar both of whom introduced themselves in a friendly relaxed manner and proceded with doing ultrasound and biopsy with plenty of explanation and expertese.I was out of there ,(including a quick mooch round M and S food ) in under an hour. I am sure that some days they are up to thier eyeballs in mayhem but today was simply perfect -- well done all those in Xray at 11-12.00 12/01/17 .

And on another subject thanks also to CDU who on the same morning managed to get my elderly mother, who had been kept in overnight, discharged and back to her care home by 11.00.Well done Heartlands? NB there is no option for XRay in the "which department did you visit " box in section 4 ( - thats minus 1 for the web page designers!)

Thank you so much for your very kind comments about your patient experience in the Radiology Department at Heartlands Hospital.

I am so pleased to read that you were greeted with a smile, that appropriate introductions were made at the start of your appointment and that you were offered a full explanation of what was being done throughout.

I do hope you enjoyed our M&S Simply Food Store, it is very popular with both our patients and staff and has very quickly become an integral part of the Hospital.

I am also pleased to note your comments regarding CDU and will ensure your feedback regarding CDU is highlighted to the Matron.

I will forward your comments to the Radiology Management Team and Clinical Director who will ensure that your feedback is communicated to their staff. Positive feedback gives a huge boost to our staff who work very hard to provide and promote a positive patient experience.
