"very poor customer servive"

About: Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother Hospital

Arrived for Partners blood test and as usual very busy and no complaints there. Was given a ticket. 5 to go so not bad. Had to wait about 45 minutes mainly due to the staff chatting and this was not work related .Very annoying when you feel unwell. Staff were in and out of each others cubicles after every patient and even when they had patients then other friends arrived from other departments just stopped by for a chat again not work related just went in and took a seat.

You could hear all the conversations . Can you imagine being in a supermarket just standing there whilst the cashiers chat amongst them selves you would walk out. We too are customers at the hospital and we can`t walk out as we need to have the blood test. There were some very elderly people waiting and it is a disgrace that the staff put gossiping 1st before the care of those waiting. I would not normally complain but the amount and number of times this happened was so many something just has to be said.I would estimate that if the chat had not happened I would have been out in 15 minutes.

I am sorry for your and your partner's experience in the Phlebotomy department.

This will be fed back to the staff in the department.

I hope that the actual blood tests results were helpful to your partner.
