"Fobbed off"

About: Kettering General Hospital / Urology

I'm a 24 year old with a supra pubic cathatar currently awaiting a urostomy urinary diversion. I am down in Corby visiting my girlfriend as im from north Wales. I fell ill last Thursday with borda line sepsis was sent too urgent care Corby was given anti biotics due to having a water infection. Temp went down and all was well then Tuesday morning I started passing urethral blood clots and blood from lower area. Went to urgent care again to see why I was bleeding so was seen and was told had to go to Kettering general to see urology team. So went there and sat in waiting room had blood test done then urine sample so waited a while then was called into room to be told everything's clear so I then asked why I'm losing blood. So they said that my red cell levels were showing I wasn't losing blood. So at this point I was getting very annoyed. They gave me a bottle and told me to go see what came out anyways it was blood exactly what I knew would happen. So they said ok I will ring urologist so they came up to see me and told me everything's fine just a wound infection where my catheter is. They would give me anti biotics and go home they said. So I said well I'm going to just keep bleeding. Their answer to this was well go home and get hold of your urologist and tell them you need a camera to see why you're bleeding because we are not touching you. So was a complete waste of time. Still no idea why I'm losing blood and Blood clots. Very disappointed in this hospital!
