"Very positive experience at Macclesfield"

About: Macclesfield District General Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as the patient),

I had a fall and broke my hip, and was taken into Macclesfield hospital, on ward 6. I didn't have to wait long before I was treated. The x-ray was quick and good. The staff were lovely and kind in the way they cared for me - they are all wonderful. The food was good, and the nurses were always washing their hands - the cleanliness was good.

All in all, it was a very positive experience. I would recommend the treatment I had to anyone. Thank you so much to my consultant Mr. LeSans, my operation was entirely successful. Thank you to all the nurses on ward 6 as well.

Thank you for your comments. It is particularly good to hear about the way the staff looked after you and the very positive comments you made about hand washing and cleanliness. This is a clear priority area for the Trust and we have implemented many new campaigns including Saving Lives and Clean Your Hands to achieve these standards. It is very pleasing to get such positive feedback on how we are doing in this area.
