After having a Mental health emergency I was brought to William Harvey Hospital Accident and Emergency Department. Sadly I don't remember much about the care I received there due to a medication overdose. I awoke in the EAU where the team treated me with amazing care, compassion and professionalism. They also remained in contact with my partner to update him about my condition throughout my stay and before my transfer to the Clinical Decisions Unit. CDU also treated me with the utmost care and compassion, continually checking my condition and allowing me to talk about the events of the previous day. The psychiatric liaison was arranged efficiently and effectively. They were also fantastic, caring and compassionate and arranged for the perfect aftercare from the Crisis Team once released. 10/10
"A&E, EAU and CDU... All fantastic."
