"Great team in Ascot ward"

About: Wokingham Community Hospital

My dad was looked after from October 2016 until December 29th 2016 in Ascot ward until he was moved to the Royal Berks as he developed sepsis. While he was in Ascot ward he was looked after very well by all of the staff, who also looked after him in Prospect Park Oakwood, there were many other excellent staff and not to forget the only nurse who managed to shave him through their persistence and caring. You all gave my family a lot of reassurance through a very difficult time and we appreciate everything you did for him even though he has now since died. You made his last couple of weeks comfortable whilst he suffered from dementia, bowel cancer, broken hip and unable to walk ever again. You should all be very proud of what you do and deserve full credit and a pay rise as you are all worth so much more. Thank you again.

Dear Jon,

Thank you for your posting and kind comments. I am sorry that your father has since passed away but it is pleasing and gratifying to see that you were happy with his care whilst he was a patient with us. I will share your feedback with the relevant staff. I am sure that they will appreciate this.

Yours Sincerely,

Trevor Lyalle
