"Pedestrian crossings outside hospital"

About: Southmead Hospital

(as a friend),

I took my neighbour to visit his wife who was staying at the hospital as he is disabled I took him to the front entrance and dropped him off and went to park the car in the top car park near monks park avenue on returning to the hospital I had to cross several roads car drivers are unaware of the pedestrian crossings as they are not marked as pedestrian crossings on the ground surface drivers do not stop for you to cross and I think it is an accident waiting to happen.

Dear Astra - many thank for taking the time and trouble to post your views of the pedestrian crossing points used within the Southmead Hospital site. This has been recognised as a health and safety issue and members of the hospital facilities team have been in discussion with the designers and Carillion who are undertaking the changes to the road layout. This issue is very much an on-going topic and we are aware a solution needs to be implemented.

Kind regards - Steve Sykes
