"I feel distressed"

Before I write this, I would like to say that up to this point services have been professional and very good. I have been diagnosed with ADHD in October. I have not been started on medication. I have been discharged. NO ONE IS HELPING ME! The Maudsley recommended my gp initiate titration. My GP is not cooperating because of concerns about stupid guidelines and who is responsible for my care. I will be complaining to multiple section of the NHS. I have complained to a number of authorities and will be complaining to NICE about the guidelines of ADHD prescription for adults. I am studying Psychology. In nice guidlines please change 1.7.1.2 on adult ADHD. If I have a diag a NORMAL psychiatrist or GP should be able to initiate treatment. I feel really distressed. No one is prescribing me anything because of lack of funding to excellent services. I have written the following as a review to my local service in Islington. Your concerns about this service are...

I have ADHD. ADHD affects my mental health in a number of ways. It's a neurodevelopmental disorder starting in childhood. It is genetic. Characterised by impulsivity, hyperactivity, control of emotions. For me also it affects my mood and I suffer from depression. I am impulsive and do not always make the right sexual health decisions.I also find it very hard to control my emotions and get depressed. Post exposure prophylactics for the prevention of HIV is much more expensive for the nhs than someone who prescribes me methylphenidate. I have been told there is a 11-24 mental health waiting list in Camden and Islington (St Pancras and Highgate) to be prescribed psychiatric medication. I was recently assessed for adhd at the Maudsley Hospital and discharged. The hospital recommended my GP prescribe the medication. My GP won't prescribe me medication because the CCG has so many rules and regulations surrounding prescribing. I have been to three different GP practices and no one will prescribe me medication. This is not acceptable. I cannot wait 11-24 months to be treated for a mental health disorder. NHS guidelines state a max of 18 week wait. My diagnosis was completed in October. It is now January. Please provide more money and improve services. The reviews on the NHS Camden and foundation islington trust show their services are currently appalling. I just don't want to catch HIV from impulsive decisions.
