"Obestetric care in Northampton"

About: Northampton General Hospital (Acute)

(as the patient),

Have made several trips to the Spencer Ward at Northampton General recently for pregnancy scans and treatment for miscarriage.

Staff took good care of me thoughout.

Concerns: waiting time for scans was on average an hour each time - need to have a better sytem for dealing with "emergencies".

The room where we waited for the scan was very "tired" and looked like something from the 1970s including the info on the notice boards. The info presented was on faded paper, tatty noticeboards and we counted 6 instances of "please take a leaflet" and there was none in the pouches. The toddler slide in the corner looked absolutely filthy.

The toilets should be cleaner also. No where was there a water dispenser.
