"Acute Medical Unit"

I was referred to the acute medical unit today by my GP. From arrival to discharge the staff treated me and my family with dignity and respect, involving me in every step of the way in what was happening, what the next steps were, what the tests showed... The doctor I saw was truly excellent and even though the unit was very busy with patients, there was no rush in the care given and everything was done quickly and efficiently. Within a few hours of arriving at the unit I had had a complete workup done and was on my way home. Thank you does not seem enough for the great care and work of the unit and the care given by the nurses and doctor who cared for me. Exceptional unit.
