Putting it simply, I was investigated for bowel cancer at East Surrey Hospital. From the minute it was investigated I was quickly given further tests (a colonoscopy). Very soon after I was given detailed and excellent information on what would happen next and then booked in for an operation.
The preparation for the operation was excellent. I was advised on what to do. I came in on the day of the operation and was helped prepare with great kindness. The operation went very well. I was looked after in the Recovery Ward. My family was contacted to reassure them. I was then moved to Copthorne Ward where I was looked after with great care.
I was thoroughly impressed by the standard of care, the kindness and professionalism of the entire team. The whole process was manged extremely well and very quickly with no delays.
