"Kings Road Clinic, Herne Bay"

About: Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust / Adult mental health

(as the patient),

No-one from the clinic has shown me any duty of care or even sound like they care. Instead I have been made to feel like I am to blame when my care coordinator doesn't even return any phone call for weeks and makes every excuse under the sun not to talk to me.

Apparently other people are in a crisis but I feel like I am not even worth 5 minutes with the state that I'm in. . The plan of cbt, counselling and a psychologist that I was verbally told about doesn't apparently exist as a plan on my records so I've been waiting for weeks like an idiot for nothing then.

I haven't had any counselling since an outside agency gave it to me weeks ago and they seem to think that was my counselling. That same outside agency also said that I needed more specialist treatment, ie counselling and CBT, from a mental health clinic as that was appropriate in my case. Kings Road Clinic just want to imply that I lack engagement when I have attended 16 out of 17 sessions with that same outside agency and as for struggling to talk about the trauma I have suffered when surely that is the point of seeking help.

If it was so easy to treat and talk about then what on earth have I even been referred to that clinic for then.. I only found out today that I am actually on a 'wait and see' plan and when I challenged that and said 'well what is the point in being with the clinic then' I was told well you can always end your service with us. What service is that then? I actually felt mentally better before I even made contact with Kings Road Clinic because at least outside agencies were doing something and treating me with some respect and dignity. This clinic isn't even doing that.
