"Early Pregnancy Unit (EPU)"

I would like to thank all the staff at the EPU for their kindness and compassion, as well as the high level of professionalism in their department. My case was taken very seriously, I was regularly updated on the situation and given clear choices and advice. They were absolutely lovely to my husband who was quite upset with the situation we were in; making jokes with him and involving him as much as they could. The Consultant in charge of me took lots of time and care to make decisions that will benefit me in the future. I unfortunately had an ectopic pregnancy after many years of infertility, this was my first pregnancy. The staff made sure to take me to a more private area for discussions, they didn't leave me waiting for long when I came in for blood tests or scans (knowing how hard the situation was for my husband and I). I can honestly say that despite the unfortunate outcome, this is the best experience in a Hospital I have ever had and Darent Valley should be awfully proud of this department. Thank you.
