"Locum Dr in minor injuries in wrong job!"

About: William Harvey Hospital (Ashford) / Accident and emergency

I was seen by a lovely a and E Dr finally at gone 4pm yesterday when they came round to the minor injuries dept at my daughters request. We had waited in excess of 3 hours with a queue going no where. I was prescribed antibiotics for cellulitis We had been met with sheer hostility by the staff in minor injuries and whilst appreciating the busy nature etc there is absolutely no need for the surly patronising and offensive manner in which the locum Dr was going about their duties. I have had no reason to complain previously and believe your staff are truly amazing. And have reviewed positively in August of this year.

Many thanks

I am so sorry that you had this unsatisfactory experience.

There is no excuse for poor behaviour from the staff, including the locum Doctor.

I shall highlight your experience to the Matron in charge of A&E.

I hope your cellulitis settles down well soon.

If you have any more cause for concern about it, please visit your GP.
