I approached the centre following me separating from my husband. I was then referred quickly onto Heather who has been amazing. She has listened and advised and, although I have managed to overcome most things myself, has supported my son who I felt needed it most. This has been really positive with visits into school to encourage him to be able to talk about his feelings about the split as he doesn't want to upset me. He now feels he can talk to me about how he feels and this has geniunly been a really positive experience and has helped us loads! Thank you

Relationship breakdowns are often extremely difficult for all involved. Accessing support for you and your child is such a positive step to moving forward. The family team are highly skilled at talking with families about what support might be most helpful and putting this in place. Its great to know that your little boy now feels he can open up to you. Heather will be thrilled to know that she has made a difference to you and your child. Its also important that other parents hear of your experience as we find this reassures parents that there is someone out there that can help so thank you for taking the time to share your story with us and others.
