Heather introduced herself with a warm and friendly demeanor. She explained what support was available which was reassuring having a baby now in the SCBU. The footprint taken was a lovely keepsake and something we can add to his memory box to remind us how small he was in the early days. It was lovely to see families reaction to the footprints too - they all loved it! !

Heather is our 'FAB+' worker - FAB is a new service to Bassetlaw provided by the Children's Centres. It is so important to us to know that this is making a difference to families the aim it to ensure you feel you have someone with whom you can talk, look at any support and also promote time to bond with and build happy memories right from the off, in a time which can be worrying for many. It is so important that other parents hear that there is support out there from other parents who have similar experiences, so many thanks for taking the time to share your story.
