I was admitted for spinal surgery in May which was being carried out by the surgeon who had previously carried out my first spinal surgery at another hospital.
Firstly I would like to say that the surgeon is a great surgeon and they took great care after a rather horrendous first operation which was not anyones fault to make sure that I received the best possible treatment. This was my first visit to The Whittington and I was very pleasantly surprised at the exceptional attention of nurses & hospital staff.
The operation went very well and I have been attending follow up appointments and each time the staff generally have been really helpful & kind.
The transport department have also been very good and I would like to thank them for their great service. X ray, CT scans & MRI departments have also been excellent. I was kept in Thorogood Ward and again a pleasant experience, attentive staff, clean ward & bathroom/toilet, and a friendly atmosphere.
I would not hesitate in recommending this hospital.
We can all critisize hospitals for one or other of the services but I can honestly say that during my visits I had nothing but praise for everyone involved.
I get fed up when people are so negative and moan about hospital services but we have to appreciate the hard work and the care that is offered when in fact in some cases they are understaffed and have to bear the pressure of negative patients.
The surgeon & their team were exceptional.
I wish that people /patients would think about how lucky we are to have the NHS. Keep up the good work.
I would appreciate if this review is made available to all concerned as my way of thanks,
"A Pleasant Experience!!!"
