"Personnel at Ward D2"

About: Addenbrooke's Hospital / General surgery

My son was recently hospitalised with acute appendicitis and underwent an operation. His pre- and post-op staying was in war D2. I want to highlight the way he was looked after by the nurses especially one who was extremely caring, comforting and got out of their way to make him feel at ease although very often he was in pain. The consultant who operated on him did a great job of both the intervention and explaining to us how things went. Many thanks to everyone.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We do hope your son is recovering well. We are very pleased to hear staff were caring and supportive during your son's admission, especially when he was in pain and with the surgical and communication skills of your son's Consultant. Please be reassured we will share this with the staff on ward D2.
