What I liked

ward nurses were very friendly and always made sure i was alright after having surgery done on my big toe

What could be improved

a certain consultant said that my big toe has healed, i know that it has not and i'm still getting sharp-shooting pain in the joint.

i will soon be going to an orthopaedic hospital in reading, berkshire to get a "second and hopefully get a thorough examination of my big toe.

Anything else?

advice don't use the nuffield for surgery as i have been there quite a few times and my walking disability has shown no sign of improvement

We are however sorry to learn that you are not happy with the outcome of your treatment at the hospital. We are aware that not all foot surgery (or indeed any surgery) leads to a satisfactory outcome, and for this reason our consultants are at the forefront of research into outcome measures and new techniques. As you will appreciate, because we have no details about your clinical condition we are unable to comment via this medium on your pain or your walking disability, but would comment that we are always willing to arrange review by another consultant within or outside our trust if a patient is not satisfied with their clinical outcome.
