The OT sessions are ok. I do sporting activities, go to the computer room. I am currently doing an open university course. At the moment I have no leave. The staff don't engage well. It is proportionate to the amount of unsettled behaviour. I get very little intervention unless I assert myself, but the unsettled behaviour patients get what they want and quicker.
I have had three different RCs, the first one assessed me and was ok and cared about my progress to a degree. The second one was better but was only temporary. Took my interests into account and was very good and pro-active. The one I have now has very little interaction with me and hasn't attempted to come to see me, so why would I believe that they are interested in me.
I have very good family contact and I get a visit once a week. My visits are unsupervised which is very nice of them. The HCAs rely on the nurses to make a decision. If a nurse is not on the ward they are powerless. I think the lower level staffs do care about the patients like the HCAs, but the higher level staff like the MDT and managers don't.
Everything here requires staff, a small amount of time or a large amount of time. I think there is a lack of staff on all the wards. I need the staff to be on my side. At the moment I have very little hope for the future, but it is less restrictive than my last place.
