I was admitted as an emergency to Cromie Ward three weeks ago, for a gall bladder removal. I was in really terrible pain, and within a couple of hours admittance I was pain free, and stabilised. I was given scans and examinations, and had the gall bladder operation on the fifth day, and was allowed home on the seventh day, and am making great progress. The surgeon was kind, informative, and the operation was completely successful. During my whole stay, the ward staff, nurses, auxiliary staff, "trolley" staff, cleaners, porters, everyone, was unfailingly cheerful, and helpful, and there was a lovely, calm atmosphere on the ward. The whole place was spotless, the cleaners seemed to clean everything about four times a day, if you are sick, then you couldn't be in a better place to get treatment, and recover. Thank you so much Torbay Hospital, and particularly Cromie Ward.
